According to First Unity By-Laws, we are required to announce the Board of Trustee nominees 14 days before the Annual Meeting. They are:

Larry Gibbs – Running for his second term

Lisa Armbruster – Running for her first term

Our Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 17 followed by a luncheon. This is an important meeting, and we hope you will be able to attend. Only members can actually vote, but everyone is invited to the meeting and to the luncheon.

Also, below are the minutes from our 2025 Annual Meeting for you to read in advance. They will be approved at the 2026 Annual Meeting.

ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES

MAY 18, 2025

Board President Mary Tumminello called to order the 2025 Annual Meeting at 11:45 a.m. Betty Jean Kofron reported there was a quorum.

Rev. Jan Mourning gave the opening prayer.

President Mary Tumminello asked if there were any changes to the minutes. None were offered. Mary called for a motion to accept the minutes. Eric Vondruska made the motion, seconded by Patti Wecke. The motion passed.

Mary Tumminello introduced the Nomination Committee.

Elise Reid, Nominating Committee chair, presented the nominations for our Board of Trustees:

No other nominations were made from the floor

Eric Vondruska made the motion to accept the nominees. Shirley Kemper seconded

the motion. The motion passed.

Financial report for Fiscal Year April 1 – March 31, 2024 – 2025 was given by Treasurer Julie Goede.

Income – $233,021. Expenses – $237,356. Net Income – (-$4,335.)

Carol Ellerman made the motion to accept the financial report. Dave Ratliff seconded

the motion. The motion passed.

Cindy Gibbs came forward to report on Youth Ed – averaging 20 children. The three Youth Ed teachers are educating different age groups on kindness and meditation. Cindy mentioned the children make gifts for the congregation for Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

The Prayer Chaplain Report was given by Hope Dodson. Mary Tumminello and Rev. Jan Mourning lead the Prayer Chaplains and First Unity is blessed by both our active Prayer Circle and our Prayer Chaplains. The Prayer Circle is led by Pam Seger.

The President’s Report was given by Mary Tumminello. Jeremiah Burcher was noted as a wonderful gift to our spiritual community; Julie Goede, Chuck Seger, and Katie Michalas for leading us in song; and Steve Schenkel for bringing such wonderful music every Sunday. Thank you to Julie Goede for serving as photographer. Thank you to the social media group, Carol Ellerman, Val Harris, Patricia Riess, and Eric Vondruska. Thank you to our Minister, Rev. Jan Mourning.
