At First Unity, we’re a family of loved ones drawn together by our mutual belief in an idea. The idea that holds us together is that of a good and all-powerful God whose love indwells us and gives us everything we need to live happy, healthy, productive lives. This idea and the people who believe it have created incredible blessings of positive thought and prayer for our world.
We believe that our minds are our connecting links with God, and that if we are to control our spiritual growth and unfoldment, we must control our thinking. In this world of seeming turmoil, conflict, and unrest, we affirm the bold statement: “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28).
We are a completely non-profit, self-sustaining ministry, with most of our revenue coming from direct contributions from our members, congregants, and streaming visitors. Their support is what allows us to keep providing powerful spiritual services to all who seek them. All are truly welcome at First Unity, regardless of age, race, sex, religious background, sexual orientation, gender identity, political beliefs, or any of the other things that so often divide us.
First Unity Membership
For Unity membership, there are no requirements other than a desire to know God, to unfold spiritually, and to understand, love, and align with Spirit’s Laws of Being. If you are feeling led to become a member of First Unity, just complete the “I Desire to Become a Member” form by the guest book in the lobby.
As stated in First Unity’s revised by-laws, current members will renew their membership periodically.
