First Unity Church of St. Louis is pleased to announce that we’ll be open for our regular Sunday service on August 17, 2025. We’re in the process of dealing with the water damage caused by a burst pipe on Friday, August 8. Our plumbing issue was fixed this week but much of the drywall downstairs was significantly wet.
We have secured a company many of you might know, Service Master, for restoration. They began the “dry-out” process with huge fans designed to dry affected areas on Saturday evening. This makes almost all of the downstairs unusable for some time. After Service Master finishes drying out, Going Green will do Phase 2, which includes other repairs, such as painting, replacing any cabinets, etc.
We’ll be able to have service in the sanctuary and livestream as usual but this Sunday, we will not be able to have Coffee and Conversation this week.
I know we will face this together and prevail. We do have insurance coverage but the deductible is high. Let’s all join in prayer for a complete recovery for our precious spiritual home.
