One hundred years ago this year, our church was established. We celebrated this momentous anniversary with a program at First Unity that featured First Unity’s past, present, and future, plus musical performances.
When it was established, First Unity Church originally was called the Southside Unity Society of Practical Christianity, and it was founded in 1924 by Hilda Louise Eilers. To refresh your knowledge of the history of First Unity, please see Our History.
